Christine Jackson who has served Hebden Royd for over 23 years has retired.
I have been a Councillor for nearly 6 years and always found her very helpful good member of staff to work with. she had 2 roles. General support to the Council / Clerk and Mayor's secretary. She should be very proud of her fantastic service she has given the Council and 23 Mayors for these years.
This year as Mayor, I really got to know her well. She has been a 'rock' in supporting me and not only helped me in this new role. But also organised, planned and generally kept me in check with all mayor matters. For that I am very grateful and I will certainly miss her detail and 'worry' to ensure everything is OK. In the role she was a fabulous ambassader to Hebden Royd in the 100's/ 1000's times she represented the council / Mayor in communicating with both local and neighbouring Community organisations and councils. On behalf of all the past 23 Mayors - A huge thanks to you Christine !!!
From Amy and myself we wish Christine and family a wonderful retirement and of course we will be seeing plenty of her around Cragg Vale, Hebden Bridge and Myholmroyd.
Best Wishes Christine and behalf of all current Councillors at Staff at Hebden Royd sincere thanks for your superb and valuable contribution you have made here in Hebden Royd.
