I was proud to open the Transition Town Local Economy Showcase today
This is a celebration of what makes Hebden Bridge so special, there is a wealth of people in our community that put enormous amounts of energy and perseverance into the well being of our town.
This energy behind the LOCAL ECONOMY SHOWCASE, which has been organised by the Transition Town Local Economy Showcase. It was a super event and special thanks to Dongria Khond for her extremely hard work in pulling this event together.

There were many amazing projects. The Transition Town focus is to help Hebden Bridge to address the twin challenges in our world of climate change and rising energy prizes.
This is achieved by getting the most from the resources within our area and this is the main focus of events like this.
Some of the projects included
An Open Gardens event giving you the chance to see innovative ways of growing food in small spaces throughout the Calder Valley
HEBVEG Community Supported Agriculture scheme.
