Visit to Calrec Ltd, Hebden Bridge

Thursday 21st July

As new Mayor of Hebden Royd I think it is vitally important to understand the activities of businesses in our area. The reason for this is two fold;
  1. In the capacity of Mayor I act as a representative to the area, therefore I believe I have a duty to promote our businesses as much as possible
  2. I have considerable International business experience and I am happy to discuss any aspect of international trade with any of our businesses in Hebden Royd
Calderdale Council leader, Janette Battye, also attended with me to Calrec and we were met by the Managing Director Roger Henderson. We received an extremely interesting tour of the premises at Nutclough Mill, Hebden Bridge

Calrec has manufactured high quality audio products to the broadcast marketplace since 1964. They are also world leaders in this field
Throughout its history the company has focused specifically on the needs of its customers, working closely with them to develop solutions to their problems.

Both Janet and myself thoroughly enjoyed the visit and to understand that they employ around 200 people which will make it the largest employer in our area. They are also the preferred choice of many global television broadcaster's who respect their quality products.
